Albuquerque – On July 20, 2013, Devont’e K. Watson will speak at a joint initiative of the City of Albuquerque and the White House Administration to address mental health and youth at the Creating Community Solutions Summit. Youth mental health, an igniting national conversation, is an issue that Americans must awareness because of the impact our communities have.
Starting at 9:00 am, community leaders, youth, and advocates will congregate at the National Hispanic Cultural Center to develop solutions that address healthcare access, community resources, and what it will take for youth to achieve mental health salubrity.
At the summit’s 12:00pm luncheon, Devont’e will deliver remarks about the subject, analyzing societal norms, articulating solutions, and calling the United States to action to serve youth to create sustainable mental health.
